GENERAL: What is the difference between 'City Sightseeing' and 'Tour Services'?
Answer: Our City Sightseeing tours start in New York City and bring you to various points of interest within the city. Tours found under the 'Tour Services' category are full day or multi-day excursions departing from New York City to many interesting destinations outside New York City, such as Washington DC, Niagara Falls, and Philadelphia.

GENERAL: Is smoking or drinking allowed aboard your vehicles?
Answer: For the health and safety of our passengers and drivers, smoking is not allowed on any of our vehicles. Charter groups may transport unopened alcoholic beverage containers in the luggage bays for use at their destination.

GENERAL: Are your vehicles handicapped accessible?
Answer: Yes. Handicapped accessible vehicles are available. Any passenger requiring an ADA accessible vehicle must inform us no later than 48 hours prior to departure. Please contact our dispatch department at 800-669-0051 to make arrangements.

GENERAL: What effect do high fuel costs have on customers of Gray Line New York?
Answer: Due to the volatile nature of the gas industry, a fuel surcharge may be applied at the discretion of Gray Line New York Sightseeing from time to time. Your understanding in this matter is greatly appreciated.

Answer: On our website we accept Visa, MasterCard, and Amex. Our visitors centers accept cash, travelers checks, Visa, MasterCard, AMEX, Discover Card and JCB. Our uniformed street sales associates accept cash, travelers checks, Visa, MasterCard, and AMEX .

CITY SIGHTSEEING: Do your open-top double decker tours operate in the rain?
Answer: Yes, our double decker buses run rain or shine. We offer complimentary disposable ponchos on rainy days to help keep you dry and you always have the option to travel in the bottom, covered half of our double decker buses.

CITY SIGHTSEEING: When do I get my tickets and/or confirmation from an online purchase?
Answer: An order confirmation will be e-mailed to you within two hours of completing your purchase. Simply print this out, bring it with you on your day of travel, and follow the printed instructions for redeeming your ticket(s) at our office.

Answer: Please send an e-mail to Info@GrayLineNewYork.com with your name, date of purchase, correct e-mail address, and your Worldpay Cart ID so that we can re-send your confirmation.

CITY SIGHTSEEING: What do I do with my confirmation e-mail from an online purchase?
Answer: Please print out and bring this confirmation e-mail with you on the date of your tour. You must exchange this e-mail for your ticket(s).

CITY SIGHTSEEING: Where do I pick up my sightseeing tickets that I purchased online?
Answer: You should pick up your tickets at one of our Gray Line New York Sightseeing office, located at 777 Eighth Avenue (between 47th & 48th Streets) or 1560 Broadway in Times Square.

CITY SIGHTSEEING: Are tour tickets purchased from this website refundable?
Answer: Tickets purchased online for most of our tours are non-refundable, but many can be used up to one year from date of purchase. Please note the terms and conditions listed at the bottom of a tour description for specific details regarding a particular tour.

CITY SIGHTSEEING: Do you offer a student discount?
Answer: Regrettably we do not offer discounted student tickets to individuals. However, school groups should contact our group sales department.

CITY SIGHTSEEING: Do you offer an AAA discount on your website?
Answer: No. Customers wishing to Show and Save with their AAA card must do so at one of our three New York City ticket offices. The discount will be applied to the standard offline price for the tour.

CITY SIGHTSEEING: Where can I buy tickets in New York City?
Answer: While we strongly encourage you to buy tickets in advance on our website, you can also purchase tickets in New York City at any of our four convenient ticket offices: 777 Eighth Avenue (between 47th & 48th Streets), the Port Authority Terminal at 42nd Street & 8th Avenue (street level entrance), the Times Square Visitor Center (Broadway between 46th & 47th Streets), or the Gray Line / NYC & Co. Visitors Center (810 7th Avenue at 53rd Street).

SCHEDULED SERVICE: Do you provide bus service between Newark Liberty Airport and New York City?
Answer: The Newark Liberty Airport Express bus provides reliable and convenient service between Newark Liberty International Airport and Manhattan every 15 to 30 minutes. You can find schedule and fare information under the 'Scheduled Services' menu at the top of our website.

CHARTER & TOUR: What is the difference between 'Charter Services' and 'Tour Services'?
Answer: Charter Services should be used if you only needed a bus to complete your travel plans. The Tour Services section of this website allows you to make all of your group's arrangements; hotel reservations, tours, etc., browse a list of sample group tours, or purchase individual seats on a scheduled tour.

CHARTER: What is a charter and how much do they cost?
Answer: A charter is a temporary lease of our vehicle and driver. When a group wants to take a trip somewhere they will reserve a coach for the trip that they have planned. This is a charter. Charter prices depend on the mileage, destination, days of charter service, and coach usage. We invite you to submit a free quote request with no obligation. Chartering is generally a very economical mode of group travel.

CHARTER: What kind of vehicles are available for charter?
Answer: We operate a modern, clean, and meticulously maintained state-of-the-art fleet. 47-49 and 55-57 seat Motorcoaches, 24-30 seat Minibuses, Double Deckers, and Vans are available. When submitting a charter quote request you be able to choose from a list of the vehicles generally available in the area you selected.

CHARTER: Who drives your vehicles?
Answer: We take tremendous pride in our professional drivers. They are specifically trained to drive the vehicle you have chartered and must complete medical reviews, background checks, driving record checks, training and testing, drug and alcohol testing and safety meetings.

CHARTER: How far ahead should I make arrangements?
Answer: It is never too soon to organize your charter. There are some times during the year when we are extremely busy, so book early! The weekends are usually they busiest with weddings, football games, holiday shopping, etc. so don't hesitate to book a year in advance.

CHARTER: Where can I load my bus?
Answer: We can load your group anywhere that our vehicle can fit. Some residential streets are narrow, so please take that into consideration when planning your pick-up location. If you want to use a public parking lot, please call the manager of the establishment and get permission from them.
