Clinton Hill Neighborhood Guide

Located in north central Brooklyn, Clinton Hill is bordered by the Brooklyn Navy Yard and Brooklyn-Queens Expressway to the North, the neighborhood of Williamsburg to the Northeast, and Classon Avenue and Bedford-Stuyvesant to the East. Atlantic Avenue and Prospect Heights are to the South, and Southwest, with Vanderbilt Avenue and Fort Greene to the West.

Historically a wealthy neighborhood, Clinton Hill has become home to millennials and young families. The architecture is diverse, from historic mansions to modern apartment buildings, with part of it having a 19th century feel. Walt Whitman lived here when Leaves of Grass was published in 1855. Today there are lots of cozy hangouts and a laid back atmosphere.
