Experience the American Revolution on the Freedom Trail

Your day trip to Boston is led by a knowledgeable guide who will be your escort for the day. You’ll step out off the bus in Boston to begin the 2.5-mile Freedom Trail! The red (partially brick) path through Boston leads you to 16 historic sites, including the Boston Common, the Old State House, Paul Revere’s house, the site of the Boston Massacre, and Old North Church. Along the way, you’ll pass through Faneuil Hall, a vibrant marketplace where Colonists once demanded “No taxation without representation!” Today, you can stop here for a delightful lunch (per person): Keep it traditional with clam chowder, Boston baked beans or tasty lobster rolls!

Visit World-Class Universities

On the other side of the Charles River, you’ll tour Cambridge, where Harvard University and Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) boast academic and aesthetic excellence. Walk through Harvard Yard, see the enormous Widener Library, and catch a street performance in the Square. Then walk amid the nation’s most innovative students as you admire state-of-the-art MIT buildings and sculptures.

Discover the Intersection of History and Contemporary Culture

Your tour of the city perfectly blends historic Boston with the contemporary city it is today. You’ll see sights like the Bunker Hill Monument and the USS Constitution, affectionately called Old Ironsides by Bostonians, but you’ll also discover that “The Hub” is bursting with energy. Bright college students, cutting-edge museums, and a booming financial district have helped shape the city.

Just a short and relaxing jaunt from New York City, Boston is a destination you really don’t want to miss! This lively city draws millions of tourists from all over the nation and the world every year – come find out why!
