TRIBECA Neighborhood Guide

Tribeca is bounded on the north by Canal Street, on the East by Broadway, on the South by Chambers Street, and on the West by West Street. Sometimes the southern border is pushed by developers wanting to claim posh Tribeca as home.

Tribeca is actually more of a trapezoid shape…but who would name a neighborhood Trapeca? Still relatively unknown to tourists, not everyone considers it a must-see place although it is popularly known as home to the Tribeca Film Festival in April or May. This very affluent neighborhood in an old industrial setting has handsome cobblestone streets and upscale shops yet is walkable to the Financial District. There are no giant billboards or neon lights.
